PROSPECTIVE NON-DEGREE STUDENTS
OISSS issues immigration sponsorship documents (I-20 for F-1 students, DS-2019 for J-1 students) for individuals to participate in the following JHU programs that do not confer degrees:
- Center for Talented Youth
- Engineering Innovation
- English as a Second Language (summer only)
- Summer Programs (Summer University, Discover Hopkins and Visiting Undergraduates)
- Visiting Students
- Undergraduate students taking courses during the academic year, or doing research
- Graduate students taking courses and/or doing research
- Students studying at JHU based on an exchange agreement with their home institution are also considered non-degree students. The Office of Study Abroad administers JHU exchange agreements at the undergraduate level; exchange agreeements at the graduate level are administered at the academic department level.
Please work with the appropriate admissions office or academic department (graduate visiting students) for application procedures. Upon admission to the program, a request for I-20 or DS-2019 issuance will be forward to OISSS.
